Yup.

Ok so the Hifonics and MB Quart are on same level so to speak depending on product from each. While Autotek and Crunch are the lower level equipment from Maxxonics corp.

Just taking a wild stab in the dark here on this one....

So if I am guessing correctly the Hifonics Zeus and HFi subs are the lower level. The Brutus subs would be about on par with MB Quart Reference. And the Hifonics Atlas subs would be between the Brutus and Olympus subs. Where the Olympus would be MB quart Premium equivalent?

Whichever post it was where Bill made the statement about people on here running maxxsonics and liking them applies to me as well.

I am running an Autotek SM1-1500 on my subs, and I love it. It fit my price range quite well and has the power to do what I want it to do.

I am going to be running an Autotek SM2-1000 for my mids. I say going to because even though it is in my truck i still have to wire it up. I had never tried them before, but I wouldnt hesitate to use anything they got.

As a matter of fact Bill was the one I got my SM1-1500 from.

I know there is a lot of one sided opinions due to being owned by Maxxonics. "it's owned by maxxonics.... Nevermind I won't buy it then." I have seen that alot. I base my opinions on experience as well. I have never used any of them. So I am still open minded about them. Even though I have yet to use my MB Quart amp. I like it already. I like the looks and overall features it has. Granted my experience with car audio equipment is limited compared to some. But I know what is good and what is not from what I have used.

The reason I asked is because I seen the Crunch GPV12D4/GPV12D2 and the GPV15D2 and was wondering about their comparison to MB Quart Reference series.

The Crunch GPV series are cheap as hell in my opinion (little more than half of MB Quart Reference) and was wondering on their quality due to cheap price. Because sometimes you get what you pay for. $145 for a pair of subs is kinda hard to pass over if they are of decent to good quality. And if they are as good or close to the MB Quart reference series I may have to keep those in mind when I can finally get to finish my system.

I have seen some videos of them in action and they look like they perform well. But since YouTube videos can be a little out of whack some times it's hard to tell their vocal and reaction performance.

its no secret that maxxsonics has products that are good bang for the buck, and i always see their products at cheap, non warrentyable flea places, so naturally a chunk of their buyers are people looking for as much as they can get for the least $. Of course not ALL, but i'd say the majority of those people dont know a thing about 12v electronics or how to install them, so equipment fails due to operator/installer error and the company gets blamed

2 you will read a lot of opinions on maxxsonics products that aren't very positive. Especially if your on the nutthugger websites like SMD. The problem is people complain about shitty products because they heard someone else say it and that spreads like wild fire on that specific forum. I have run every single company under maxxsonics and all of there amps are exactly what they say. They are mid level equipment at a mid level price.

They do make budget equipment like the now autotek and crunch line. there are a lot of elitist that feel they need to justify there spending thousands of dollars by bashing budget products.

Fact of the matter is i have won competitions with everything from crunch to hifonics using the budget and the high end.

The autotek and lower crunch lines are budget minded pieces designed for price point purchase.

the Hifonics and mbquart discus line are mid level product at a mid level price and are better built.

the upper lines like quart premium and Hifonics XXV are top level amps and they cost quite a penny.

Fact if the matter is 90 percent of what you read on other forums is biased bullshit spewed by people who most likely have never had there hand on the product but heard from a friend who said it was junk. Its just one of those things you learn as you progress through this hobby.

BTW i'm no longer sponsored by maxxsonics i have no stake in the company what so ever. This is an honest opinion from someone who has used the amps and has actually tested the rated output of most of these amps people bash.

Im sure most of the people on this forum who have used a maxxsonics product are pretty happy with it.

Well I may be in a tighter money crunch than I thought. Just checked my bank balance today. And it wasn't good. So I am gonna hafta hold off on the rest of my system build for a while and save up some money.

But just for s**ts and grins. I want your opinions on something. I been reading a little bit tonight and have not quite found the answer I am looking for. Since Maxxonics owns MB Quart, Hifonics, Autotek and Crunch. Are their amps and subs all same quality?
