I didnt go for the "xplod" stuff either. Back in the day Sony was on top of it. Especially with the Mobile ES line.

I've heard Sony is improving, and while they've always had really nice looking head units, the problem we had with them was reliability and availability of parts, even for a factory authorized service center, which we were. That's why we dropped Sony.
Their amplifiers are the things I avoid like the plague, though.

There are good Alpine and Pioneer head units for $300 though.

$300 is still a decent amount of money unless your out buying $1K McIntosh units :awesome:

Anyhow. Whatcha think? Could Sony be trying to make a come back? Could they actually be making something "Good" car audio wise finally?
