That box in my jeep was the most fun I have ever had!! That thing was loud and really loud down low. I'm pretty sure it did peak at 31hz and I think it did do like a 146 or 148 down there. It was pretty damn fun with only what, $75 subs? After the 31hz it played pretty flat there on up, it was an awesome box! Very good job done by Bill Wolf.

38hz is for pussys real men play at 19hz haha

by loudwagon15s » Fri Sep 24, 2010 5:28 pm

hell yea it did. And with that, its time to make a new box cause i want more lows, my box is tuned to about 38 hz. had to make a compromise between port area and tuning. problem is the box is as big as it can be unless i build it in the trunk. Humm maybe i shall invert and see what happens, show off the huge ass on that woofer

the last single 10 i did was ported to the rear ive had some guy on caco say it would suck and my sub would unload destroy the sub blah blah blah. it sounded pretty damn good to me and everyone else who road in the car and never damaged the sub.
the price is way high on that box
smd sucks
but its the only forum ive found with people from alaska on it other than the fiberglassers forum so i check in every now and then to find out about shows or anything
got pics to the jeep box?

Coming from SMD doesn't surprise me.

If it was a shared chamber box it would work fine.

The way its currently setup the only real problem is the port size difference between the ports in each box and the output port. However with the port being so long it probably controls the sub. I bet with 3 decent subs it would sound half decent. Its a type of series tuned sixth order reverse sixth order in the end. Who knows maybe this guy discovered a new box type or a new port scheme. This reminds me of "DONT EVER PORT OUT THE BACK BEHIND THE SUB IT WILL BLOW YOUR SHIT" When a lot of home theater enclosures use rear porting and the loudest boxes in the world are all reported. People looked at the guys who started the rear porting fad like they were dumbasses until they blew them out of the water with there scores.

To many people are afraid to think out of the "box" anymore for fear they will get ridiculed. i caught tons of shit for that box that was in mookies jeep but that thing sounded great and played low as hell not to mention was half decently loud. I guess i should post myself up on SMD for the Fail of the week.
