ok - just looked at the dates on this....original post says 2-13-11 and the article referenced is dated 2-8-11 so....what even happened???

and why is this bill going up with "no opposition" from local retailers? - I mean, if not the customers, then at least the retailers should oppose this bill.

Yeah, they were trying to limit the cone area and wattage you could have in your car. I think it was like a single 10" and 300 watts. That happened like 2-3 years ago I believe.

For the most part car audio is dead around here. 4-5 years ago it was real popular...

Government needs to stay out of our friggen lives, I've noticed this type of stuff more and more over the past few years. Bills/Laws being passed to restrict freedom.
You want to make it illegal to boom through a neighborhood. Fine, but to ban even owning the equipment. That's gone way to far!

^^^ I don't feel that way... Thats like the same crap that people feed on when they talk about gun control and how if one state does something everyone else will do the same...

For example the whole AZ shooting thing... If AZ wants to ban 30 clip mags or limit to 10 rounds in a Clip then thats their perogative... doubtfull that it will happen though.
