A single 12" is sufficient for some decent thump.

A single 10" should be enough to fill the car nicely.

Maybe this is my old age talking?

I need to go to that store and see what stuff they have. Pretty sure I'll be pushing the limits of tailoring to the customer. I've been out of the car stereo world for 6 years, I already have a list of stuff I just want to listen to.

Just looking to keep the total price of the system down so I told myself to only get an amp around 200w for the sub. I've read a idq12, with the same power, sounds better to most than a idq10.
This also true with the KAR12?
It's all subjective. A 12" will be "boomier" then a 10", but a 10" will be better at the quicker, punchier bass. A 10" is generally good for most SQ setups.
