I had a shop near me physically place a 12" and a 10" w7 (didnt have a 13") in the place I wanted to put it. It was HUGE. Time to figure out if I wanna give up all of my trunk space...

the best sounding w7's i have heard were a pair of 13w7's in an ext. cab s-10 with a jl 1000/1 on each of them....

Sooner, why do you want a 2 cube box for a 12W7. JL sugest a 1.375 sealed. I am sure you could go a little bigger, but 2 cubes would be waaaaaay on the big side.

Either way, the W7 does sound great. I was a little disapointed in the sound around the 70 to 80 herts range (my boston pro 12 sounded better). Needless to say, I droped the X over to 60 and it sounds amazing, and gets crazy loud for a single 12 in a sealed box. (still havent had my deck above 63, I THINK it goes to 80)

i agree, b ut at the same time, bu ti liked the way my 13w1 sounded in the store room and it sounds great (in my ears) in my car. Same thing with alpine type-r's at bestbuy. i have no doubts that they'd sound great in my car :)

I am leaning towards a 12/13" w7 if I can fit it because it is the 'golden' standard, just hate to have such a mainstream product... time for some more reading.
What exactly about the box won't accomidate many subs?
