i think you usually set your subsonic filter slightly lower than tuning frequency...

The subsonic filter has a minimum setting of 15 hz and 35 hz is the max. So, should I turn it all the way up to the max 35hz?? Is this right??

sub sonic around low 30's IMO. no bass boast or if you must use it reset your gains afterwards. yes set to lowpass and set it to around 80's.

should be very happy with that box set up. if you need helping with building plans hit me up. i love helping to design boxes.

It's much pretty now isnt it... Of course it is!

Everything should be the same except the subsonic should now be at 35 hz.

Just made a slot ported box - 2.0 cu.ft. @ 35Hz. How should the settings on my Hifonics bx1000d be set at for this? Lowpass?Subsonic?Bass Boost?

go to a 2cu ft ported box, tuned to 34Hz
that should fix it

i would never ever ever seal a type r thats just a bad idea kiki is dead on.

I agree with OYM, the Type R is an excellent value. Try it in a larger sealed box (more airspace).

When I originally purchased an old rd. Solobaric, they recommended a .66 cft sealed box. It sounded like crap. I called Kicker and asked their Tech guys WTF. They said I did everything right. I ended up putting it in a 1.5 cft box and the thing kicked ass :thumbsup

If you want I can personally have a look at your system.

I thought Huron sounded familiar. Im about an hour from you, west.

I would advise a new box also, and ported. I can design and build a box for you, for a very low price. Then we can tune your stuff all right here when you come to get the box!

Addign a second sub to your sealed enclosure will only make it as loud as one of them subs ported...

Want it even louder? Add the other sub and port both of them... hehe...

If your interested in a box let me know. The special deals are only going to last for a month.
