Definately did not mean that in a sarcastic way :thumbsup It's actually nice to have another member to the board that has more knowledge to share :happy055:

The max wattage is what it could take for about a millasecond or less and really more of a marketing technique...
Just look at the RMS wattage of everything and at what Ohm load :)
Also, you still have to factor in impedence rise and such from the box, etc and what the amps are rated at. Gotta love electrical :attitude

I know this is a really old thread, but not all of MA audio's stuff completely sucks :P look at the EHO. My friend sold a brand new one for 220 shipped cause he wanted an xx herc and needed the cash to get it on realm. Kinda sad.

RMS is what you want to look at. Max ratings mean nothing. And there are differences between class a/b amps and class d amps. Class d amps are more efficient, and are usually only used for sub amps. Class a/b amps arent as efficient, but they produce better sound.

o yea dat amp is a a/b class amp for the crunch swimmerdude is selling dont i need a class d

so of i get the power amp that maxes @ 1000 but gets 800watts rms thats more important than maximum watts right

by dakingjames23 » Thu Apr 19, 2007 2:54 pm

believe me i want to buy your amp but I can't because I get payed again the 30th unless you want to wait around that time
