we just upgraded the components to the K3P series in my car. I am going to buy the D1's anyway, and if I don't like the tweeter from Focal, I will install them in their place.

I'd take the D1s personally.

Yea I am thinking about buying some D1 Tweeters, although my install shop told me they have some Focal Audiom TLR's in the back...I may have to go that route.

All are Scanspeak drivers. Genesis basically modified the Scanspeaks by weatherproofing them and gave them a crossover better suited to car audio. Excellent stuff, as you come to expect from Scanspeak equipment.

ScanSpeak or Genesis?

I am looking at buying a pair of Genesis D1 Tweeters. They are soft dome and supposedly superior sq out of them. I have looked into the ScanSpeak Revelator series, which I believe Genesis uses for their R1 tweeters. I am curious if the D1's are also ScanSpeak tweeters.

Anyway the price is low and I am very tempted.
