When I switched to the Adire Koda Components, my previous component set was a set of Kickers. In my mind, the Kickers sounded fairly good, but when I installed the Koda's, the difference was night and day.
The sound quality at high volume levels was excellent. There was almost no distortion at extremem volume levels, and not once did the tweeters get so sharp sounding as to hurt my ears. Due to the paper cone, the sound was best described as a very "warm" sound. The sound clarity was excellent. This components brought out aspects of music that I had never noticed with the Kicker components.
In a properly sealed door, the midbass produced was excellent. I had them filtered at 75 hZ and never did I hear distortion or bottoming out. They produced an SPL level of 120dB (EPIC-160 in dash mic).
All in all these were terrific components. Price was $349 + shipping directly from Adire. For the price, I don't believe there is a better set of component speakers.
