NO....very cheap stuff. Wont do any of the nubers it stated. Please read our FAQ section and buy an amp using the good/bad/ugly list.

Your best bet would probably be to find a 2 channel amp that puts out 800 rms, bridged at 4 ohms. You could also use a mono amp that puts out that much power at 1 ohm, but it will probably be more expensive.

Trust us, wire in the second coil or it will mess up the sub.

And get a diffrent amp. Once you rewire it with both coils you will bee looking at 4 ohms and maybe 400 watts, (probably less)

There is no way that amp will do 800 watts rms at 2 ohms. If the 250 is corect at 4 ohm then you could get 500 at 2

Even if it did you need something 1 ohm stable, or something putting out 800 watts rms at 4 ohm.

I stand corected, it will do 800 watts rms at 2 ohm, (moron on ebay messed up the 4 ohm reading) But it still won't work for you.

why would it mess it up? ive been running it like that for 3 weeks now and the sub is still doing good, it going to burn out the VC?

if so think this amp would work better? http://cgi.ebay.com/MTX-Thunder-801D_W0 ... dZViewItem

thats not going to work bro!! it must be wired using both coils! http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/w ... 4+ohms+x+2

EDIT: i just looked up your amp, it does 800 watts MAX @ 2 ohms, you couldn't get more then....maybe 500+ watts out of that amp IF you had a dual 4-ohm sub. You need to rewire it as well, it will damage the speaker with it wired like you have it. wire it at 4-ohms like it will show you on that link above, and consider getting a new amp that will give it maybe the 800 watts RMS not MAX

i have just 1 voice coil wired and i check the resistane on it and it read 2 ohms..............

So you may end up paying $3-5 for the cuts. Trust me though, this is much faster than trying to do it at home with a circular saw...
The lowes and home depots around here suck at cutting, usually way off....

And a dual 2ohm sub can only be wired to either 1 or 4 ohms, not 2...
