Im getting into that now, ive got a distributor with a bunch of wheels, performance, and other styling acc., i started to do some tinting to learn how to do it, it is time consuming, but a lot of people are asking about it, and im actually starting to do distributing, my distributor told me go for it so ill make a couple bucks here and there from that. but your right it has to be done for the love.

yea i just got into the whole lowrider thing and it looks like it may be promising once the weather breaks....but i have a general love for all cars not just audio....and really i rarely do just a head unit or just a set of speakers or anything basic...my customer base is primarily built on having a reputation for doing what other shops wont so most of what i do is custom stuff.....

I agree with smoker entirely (as I am one of the other dealers)... You need to go a lil beyond the car audio realm to actually make money at it, cause people always find it cheaper on ebay and the only arguement you have is that they will have no warranty... smoker does window tint, wheels, window tint, as well as some other things... and I go the whole performance, audio, body, wheels, package except tint. So yeah It's tough but definately worth it for the love of what you're doing ;)

I know it isnt gonna be easy but im willing to work at, i dont have my shop but im looking but do work out of my garage or go to peoples house and do work, have a decent customer base, and my distributors are local. You gotta do it for the love, but sometimes if your lucky the money can be good.

welcome, there are a few shop owners on here including myself so let me just warn you.....do it for love or money but if you do it for money your gonna be dissapointed......i work 6 days a week, and im in my shop from as early as 6:30 or so until 9 or 10 at night sometimes.......things are growing each month, and i have never taken a loss but some months all i do is pay the bills and the exwife and manage to put food on the table.....good luck if you decide to do it, it is the best thing i have personally ever done, im not the type to put up with someone telling me how to do something so being my own boss works for me....
