Well, he was doing 138s with them in sealed boxes in a Daytona, but wasn't quite set up right for spl... So he asked me to step in a give him a hand for the new set up in the new car...
He's supposed to be bringing over the new car tonight or tomorrow so I can get some measurements... I'll keep everybody updated as we start in on it and start making progress :)

Kinda what we're doin with the 10" D3s... They are not High Powered subs, but enough of them (6) should still make for a good bump for Bass Race ;)

I feel like it would be a funner project to create a project oriented around small powered subs. It's kind of like the old shool philosophy of quality vs quanity. I'm a quality man, but in this case I wanna try quanity!

I've seen a few multi sub set ups with smaller stuff, but most have been in show vehicles and not really oriented towards big bass,
Although I have one kid here locally that has 6 - 10" Diamond D3s that we're gonna try and squeeze into the back of an eclipse... and I'm sure that the enclosure is what's going to make all the difference in the world.

As for your friend, I'm with everybody else on this one... VRs would be a better match and overall subs for the first time set up... and if he can get them from Scarrell for less and save a lil dough, all the better ;)

I've been thinking of doing a build with a bunch of Comp VR's or a bunch of W1's. Anyone ever do a build with a lot of little 'power' subs, if so how'd it sound? I just think it'd be cool to have four of them or something, fours all I could fit... if that. Well I guess I could squeeze four in there. Also with a build surrounded by 4 smaller powered subs, would the box be the part that makes or breaks the build sort of speak?

i'd go with the comp VR's, whether they would be from scarrell, or from online (only 10 bucks more) They handle 300 rms to match the amp, and are a better sub, so you could use the amp to its full potential.
