Thanks man!! Yeah I like this deck, but I don't want to spend money to fix if not worth it.

Nope, if you have a problem with the output stage than any signal going in will still have the same output problems. It could be loose wiring, easy fix. It could be internal solder connections coming loose. But to send it to a shop, probably not worth fixing. Just my opinion though. Check out refurbdepot.com. They have a pretty good selection of refurb cd decks, Panasonic and sony mostly, but you can get the higher end Panasonic decks really cheap. Good Luck

Output Help

I have a Panasonic CQ-something cd player in my car. It's not a new model, but it is one of those that has animation desplay (blue) Had it installed with my amp and speakers, was working great until lately. The sounds just jumps on and off when it wants to! thought I had a ghost in the machine. The guys who put it in for me looked at it and said that one of the outputs is going bad. sometimes it will stay on for a long time and then other times it will go in and out constantly. My question is this: Is it worth fixing? ( I really like this model, had it in my other car before I sold it) and if it is an output thing, will hooking a small MP3 player to the Aux be a cheap fix?

Thanks
Z
