check the ground for the head unit. That is probably the culprit.. not the amp ground.

The size of your box effects the frequency response of the subwoofer. The sound can be dramatically effected by building a box to big.

The Diamond makes more power. It's very underrated. But like Kiki said, they are both quality products.

Just my opinion on it.. but I'd go with the Diamond. The MB's will appreciate the extra power you'll get from the Diamond amp.
