I've been tagged. :) Working 60-70 hours a week on the boat while spending my one day off sleeping doesn't leave much time for car audio. However, the transport just took a dump on the Clarion DRZ-9255 that replaced my previous DRZ-9255 when ITS transport died. I have a couple refurbished backups, b...

I just picked up one of those WT3s from parts express. You use it yet? Looks like fun. I got all kinds of orphaned drivers layin around w/o T/S parameters. They need a nice, comfortable MDF home. I also found a free linux based spectrum analyzer program: http://baudline.com/ http://guppyrig.com/fis...

Yeah I saw that one, and probably what I'm gonna get. I just bought my first laptop, can ya believe it? I'll be using it as a chartplotter and part of a fish-log system I'm going to try to sell to the FWC down here(they are getting seriously anal about fish reports so I'd thought I'd go them one bet...

I need an RTA to tweek my system(s) for Sound Quality and I'm not ready to drop $1000+ on a handheld. I let an old portable Alpine unit s...

That fuse rating must be wrong... 25a X 13.8V = 345 WRMS total... not accounting for efficiency loss (about 55-60% real world. If the specs are correct: 800 wrms / 13.8= 58 amps... Now account for inefficiency... 58 X 1.4 = 81 Amps. Go with an 80 Amp fuse. Yeah its really wrong. I'm assuming the 42...

I think PPI deliberately shipped their products with "small" fuses to protect their products. My ProMOS 2050 came with a 35 amp fuse(hard to find btw). I had it bridged into a pair of 10w5's for a 2ohm load and a theoretical 400 watt capability. I never had a problem until I let a friend d...

It don't matter. I'll be running two channels at 2 ohms stereo and the other two bridged into 2 Ohms. I was just wondering about headroom. This amp apparently has it.

The 25 amp fuse scares me, but because this was a competition amp back in the day I imagine they used a much larger one in their show cars.
