What are those test tone cds and what are they used for? are they used for tuning your system? or what?

Should i buy these, I dont really want to get components i'd be happy with coaxils and these seem like a good deal. also they are the 6" which will fit in my prelude. so good buy???

thanks for all the replies, and also for the heated discussion. I have decided to keep the R's for the time being and then later on down the road i will most likely pick up in IDMAX. I will just have to wait until i get to test some of the subs out.

I have the R's in two seperate sealed boxes at .85 ft3 each. I like the sound and everything its just i think the R favors deeper bass notes such as those in rap and has a harder time reproducing the higher notes of rock and roll, which is what i listen to. I like the R's a lot but i think the IDMAX...

anyways, i guess i will just keep what i have for the moment, which is (2) 12" type Rs, but i thought maybe a 10" with better SQ would be a little nicer for rock music. But its giong to be to much less hassle to keep what i have.but what i do need now is a set of 6.5" coaxils or compo...

I heard A/D/S is a really good brand, and they handle 500 rms, and they are only $110!!!

hey audiobass, i see you have a Cadence component set, would that be the CWM6 that are like $80? If so do they sound good at all?

what would you recommend doing ryan? just get one sub? spend more money? go down in power?

I'm looking to find the best 10" sub for rock music that is able to play the full range of bass notes, from the lowest to highest possible. I am looking for (2) subs that have total rms between 700-1000. And they have to be in the price range of $300 dollars max for both. What do you guys think...
