Sony MEX-BT 5100 Help with Presets

can anyone familiar with these decks lemme know what genre of music some of the presets are best for

also any tips with the custom setting, this ones interface with the custom tune is pretty hard to navigate

thats my only complaint with these decks though

Most of us will probably agree, the preset equalizers are almost always a joke.

The same basic equalization seems to work good for me always on all types of music.

Some people run it dead flat.

I like high highs and low lows. Thats me.

With that being said my EQ curve looks something like a V if you will.

Or something of the likes. I usually keep things to 75% or less of maximum EQing capability.

a v's how ive always done it but this interface is hard to make one
its more then 3 settings to work with

ive always felt that with proper power and speaker placement no equalization was neccessary but i do like to run an external eq because usually very slight tweaking is neccesary cause lets face it perfect placement is damn near impossible in a car

Then its best to set it to flat.

Once you do it and its done you shouldnt have to mess with it again. Unless of course you disconnect the battery ever.

im good with external equalizers because i can see what im doing i wish i could explain the crappy interface when it come to doing this headunits custom setting

lol i had it really nice one time, then the battery went bad, and i havent been able to match the sound since, the head sounds great on its own i just had sounding close to amazing
