Ford 5cd changer din unit

hi all,

I just bought from a friends, used 5 cd changer (built in changer) din unit. I got this problem, all the button has no illumi, all functioning just fine but just that. Anybody has any suggestion on the wiring side. Anybody has a complete wiring diagram for it. info Model # YEFM031253. Ill try search the net but couldnt found any info. thanks in advance.

If this is a stock unit you will need to run the illumination wire to it.

Im not sure how you wiried it if your car is not a Ford...

But I would find the pin out for the illumination wire on the vehicle side and send it to the illumination pin on the radio side. You can give it a switched 12V for maximum brightness at all times...

what color etc it is? any hints. wont it defect the LED?
I had 1 player with the same prob and connecting illumi wire to 12vcd now the display has no illumi at all. wondering what is the suitable voltage for it.

Like I said Im not sure how you have it wired up. The car its in or anything.

Its probably the hue colored wire though

Find the pin out for illumination and put a DMM on it to check for voltage when you adjust the light dimmer. That should tell you if you need a low voltage or the 12 V for the illum wire.
