Take any sub that comes in 4 ohm and 8 ohm "flavors"... or dual 4 and dual 2 (same deal)...
...there's going to be differences between the 4 ohm and 8 ohm versions, you'll see that the T/S specs aren't the same between the two subs - engineering actually had to happen to make two drivers of different impedences that perform similarly!
But with this sub, since we're talking about a single long-gap/long-coil overhung driver, you've got a ton of flexibility...
Particularly if you free yourself somewhat from those expectations by declaring one version a "SPL" and one a "SQ" version.
Hell, I'd take the "SQ version" and give it a coil winding that was much longer, increase Xmax, lower Fs, reduce BL, raise Qts (all in one stroke!
)... so I'm guessing that's what they've done here - not that I know.
