I would personally get the correct amplifier (in this case, aftermarket HU) than start wiring resistors in series to raise the impedance.

Are you kidding Parks are way easy... Same set up as my Regal. You just bypass the upper radio controls completely and mount an aftermarket headunit below with the mounting plate adapter (stick out a little though).
