The gain is maybe half up on my amp. I havent noticed any clipping what so ever. The sound quality is something I know will go with the kickers at this point but the OZ isnt cutting it. THe place i got them from no longer carries them in stock and i have had the system for over a year now so I doubt they will do anything about it. Sound deadening my car should help with quality as I wont have to turn the system up as loud to achieve the same levels.

any recommendation on a sub that handles 300 RMS with some decent thump and good SQ?

bravox uxp 12 the power is perfect for it and you wont loose any SQ and itll get a little louder than the vector. throw it in a ported box and you will be good to go.

the vector will work great for a home sub in a ported box or bandpass depends on your application.

Where can I find one of these subs and how much do they run? Id like it in a 10in application dual 2ohm

they run about 175 for the dual 2ohm. i would think there is a dealer fairly close to you. go here http://www.bravoxaudio.com youll have to call in there and see if there is a dealer but you wont be able to till after CES

CES? it says the closest one to me is in PA. Any other subs you like for maybe a lil less haha.

right here im pretty sure these subs are the exact same as the eclipse aluminum subs with a lot less price tag

I had heard about those when I was first looking for subs two years ago. Look pretty nice. Think the 300W alpine will give them enough power since they are rated 400W RMS?
