Don't forget about the legendary kicker zr line. Those babies were serious bang for the buck. I know of several that are still in solid use now. You can usually get a good deal on one if you can find one on ebay.

Orion HCCA Red series (225HCCA .25ohm stable, 250HCCA .5ohm stable, 2100HCCA 1ohm stable), Original RF Power and Punch series..(power1000,power650, power300, punch45, punch75, punch150), PPI Artseries all built in Tempe Arizona...the last of the redblooded american amplifiers.

Fast forward to today, cheap labor equal cheap product. The PPI, Orion, an RF that we knew, are nothing but cheap reproductions built only for their name. They no longer represent the quality they once were. Now there are still some American amps and products. McIntosh is built in New York as is the Clarion Drz9255, but none of the Clarion Amps are american built. Audison is Italian and their range is like italian sports cars...desireable
SRx line=Alfa Romeo
LRx Line=Ferrari
VRx Line=Lamborghini
Thesis=Enzo...very limited production, more money than you want to spend
