buying authorized products

I would rather spend a little bit more to support forum members who would support me than these thieves at woofersetc and the like.

The shop im working with is one of two good shops in about a 300 mile radius. So they will over charge and get away with it almost always, unless your a customer that keeps comming back and knows what they want to pay. This shop is by no means hurting for money its almost a 2 month wait if you want an apt. with the installer which is great for them they do good business and they wont blow steam up your butt about a product. and making twenty bucks off a kicker woofer is fine by me that is an alright price. Here that woofer is stickered at i bleive 110 and most customers that walk in the door pay it. I can get some of the JL stuff from the authorized guy for a bit cheeper than woofersetc. And that is great for me, its just i usually have to work with in the confinse of what they sell when building my system. I actually would rather pay my money direct to comapnies like FI that are just getting their feet on the ground, because they almost always offer great services.

Most reputable/ honest places will work with you if you're not a jerk walking in the door... and yeah we make far more from installs than on equipment.
The biggest downfall is that the authorized dealers aren't always updated or mentioned from a lot of the manufactures sites, so it's hard to say if a business that claims to be authorized is or not.
This is one of the largest things I encounter with ebay merchandise as well... don't get me wrong... lots of times you can get great deals on ebay for used equipment, but ya gotta watch your back when they say "Brand New with Factory Warranty".

If i am in the market for a high quality high price piece of equipment im not gonna short myself on ebay, or give myself the chance. I want a real warrantee my subs will always come authorized, my amps will ALmost always come warranteed, maybe a cheapy four channel from time to time on ebay. And most of all the head unit must come authorized cuz i break um lol. But to each their own if you want to chance it becuase of money issues by all means roll the dice, Ebay has some actual companies selling refurbs on there such as rockford fosgate. but never new equipment.

With woofersetc, you have to pay for shipping to them, and they will send you the same shit back to you at your cost. I was out of pocket zilch with Focal. Beat that.

fusion products, 3 years free replacement as long as they are installed by an authorized dealer.......none of that send it back and well fix it stuff, you bring it back we send it in and you get a brand new one sent to you.....of course it takes more than a few minutes but hell thats got to be one of the best warranties out there
