Theres a few nobodies running. These people will never ever get elected. So you run into the pivotal problem of voting for what you consider the best choice and making no impact or picking the lesser of the 3 evils at this point.
If per say someone like Ron Paul, Gravel, Huckabee or Nader were showing up better I would go that way. When they are showing 1-4 % Im not gonna waste my time.

On the universal health care situation... I believe it could be done without costing everyone a ton in taxes... in fact I believe that if only a small portion of the moneys brought in by the health care insurance companies went towards it then it would work... the big issue is pulling that away from those companies and putting it towards universal health care... and I don't honestly believe it can be done in a 8 year term let alone a 4 year.

If they were to do universal health care they would have to put all doctos, surgeons, nirses, etc, etc, etc. on a pay scale. Meaning you cant charge $60,000 for a surgery when Joe Schome will do the same surgery for $10,000. Even if you can do it better.
That decreases the amount of people who want to be good or care about their jobs... Which will yield crappy care. Canada.

Cant say that i would ever vote for McCain... sorry his little statement about being at war in Iraq for 100 years kinda pissed me off... And thats just me... imagine what everyone in the Middle East is thinking...
Hillary... well granted she definitely wants to take away some rights as far as guns and control, but... you have to take her with a grain of salt. Really, there is no way that any candidate, Republican, Democrat, or Independent, will ever have the real power to take away our guns... NOT GONNA HAPPEN... THIS ISNT CHINA!
Obama, Not bad... Although i do agree... he has not really done anything. He has no experience really, but he definitely has the peoples support... He definitely has great oratory skills. And i can see where people would compare him to a JFK-ish person. He mobilizes the masses and comes from behind in scenarios where he is picked to be the sure underdog. Still I wouldnt have a clue as to who he would pick for VP...
Huckabee, when he was in it... If there was a candidate in the Republican party i would vote for it was him. I liked him a lot and his views, although conservative, were more middle of the road and democratically compromising than anyone like John McCain.
Romney, well once you get past the insecureness about a Mormon President, he wasnt that bad of a candidate, cept a lot of ppl saw through his lies, and flip flopping, similar to John Kerry in 2004. (Thats the real reason why Bush is still in office.)
Ron Paul. How the hell is he even considered a Republican.... Thats all i have to say about him.
On a personal note... I would probably guarantee that, as most newscasters have said, If Hillary doesn't win Texas and Ohio, she is boned... and she will not be the candidate... and as it is right now... its not looking good.
I think that this is definitely the year for Democrats though. Republican's do not have as great a chance given that the circumstances in the Middle East are being felt through 4 main channels. Public opinion, International Opinion, Religious venues, and the Economy. McCain will have very little operational knowledge about the Economy or Religion, and just because he was a POW and cant lift his arms above his head or whatever, doesn't mean that militaristic ally he is a shoe in and will resolve tensions in the Middle East. I can only foresee him exacerbating the situation there.
Again i have written at length about an issue that is going to get blasted and for that im sorry... Im just not that concise of a person.

Dude what other rights? Universal Health Care? Its not gonna happen. Really its just a platform so they can get universal access to healthcare. Right now its literally impossible to secure medical histories of patients in hospitals because of HIPPA... she is trying to digitize medical histories so that medical professionals would be able to instantly diagnose someone appropriate to their medical history.

My brother reacted the same way as you did until he realized that the overall possibility of a Pres taking away guns is literally impossible... So no worries keep ur Springfield XD and have fun with it. You are lucky you are in a state with less restrictions on firearms than CT!!! BTW... ppl in PA are freaking out cause of Hillary... but then again they have virtually no gun laws here.

well you say they'll never take the gun rights away.. but, they can pass laws that make it nearly impossible. and we all know there isn't a soul making laws in DC right now that cares about what the constitution says.
otherwise the patriot act, military commisions act, HR 1955, etc would not have passed through. Domestic wiretapping without a court order is possible. We already know that the government logs/monitors internet and phone traffic. (at&t switching station in SF, with no doubts of more being logged all over). SO what stops them from making a law against guns?
