I voted Nader, he's the only one who seems to want real change. I can't stand the negative ads from either the Dem/Rep. parties, unbecoming of a national leader.

I wanted Ron Paul.. but thats throwing your vote away to vote for someone who clearly wont win..

Especially darkies? Black ppl arent the only ones on welfare and they most certainly arent the only ones that abuse it. I know of two ppl right now, that just happen to be white, that have pretty good paying jobs. One makes $18hr and the other makes $14hr. The guy that makes $18hr lives with his girlfriend ( who by the way has a job) and their 2 kids in his parents house with his parents and collects welfare. The girl that makes $14hr doesn't even have custody of her child, is a felon, and has full knowledge of the fact that she is supposed to report her income to welfare but refuses because thats an extra $500-$1000 in her pockets every month for her to do whatever with. I doesnt matter what their race is, there are ignorant a**holes everywhere that will find a way to get over if they can. Same thing goes for this "mortgage crisis". There are ppl white and black that are letting their homes get foreclosed on purposely.
Whether you want to believe it or not there are black ppl or "darkies" as you call them that do have jobs, and get up work for what they have and want everyday.

I also wanted Ron Paul, but we didn't get a chance to vote for him.

I understand what you are saying about throwing away your vote. But on the other hand, that thinking is keeping us in a 2 party system where the most popular guy wins the party card. I don't have a solution to that, just know that it is holding us back from choosing from more than 2 guys.

I guess the 2 party system has it's flaws and it also is good in other ways. I think that if we had 5 people running and on every ballot, you might have the winner only winning 30% of the vote. That is scary. You could have some wack job (far left or right) that 30% would vote for and everyone else would split their voted between the other 4 more moderate people.

For now, voting for Nader is more taking a vote away from the other candidates than anything else. He has no chance to win. In 2000 & 2004 he surely kept the Dems from winning. He was the margin of victory in many states. Same happened with Perot years ago.

I guess what I am saying is I understand both sides of the arguement and am not realy sure there is a single easy solution to the whole mess. I guess just getting everyone to vote is the best place to start.

Now let's really be fair here. Race has little to do with poverty or welfare. It is blind and has many people in it's ranks. It is not a black or white issue, it is an American issue. If we could all get to that level where race is not the first thing we argue over, we might just get this country back on track.

I edited Keiths racist remark out. Its not tolerated here and was obviously missed by Admin and wasnt reported by anyone (thanks guys).

We all have our own opinions but some of them are best left to ourselves.

Voting for McCain, don't see any reason to raise taxes on small businesses when it's already too darn high. Raisng taxes would mean (in some cases) no raises/promotions for employees.
But there are also too many loopholes in the taxbreaks also. Both canidates have good and bad ideas, it's just a matter of which one can pull it off better for the country.

Actually that is a misconception that McCain would like you to think. Actually Obama is for a small business tax cut and in favor of a tax raise for large companies. Big business gets away with paying very little federal profit tax and Obama wants them to kick in their fair share to reduce the burden on the little guys.

Obama is pro small business
McCain is pro big business

Well if nothing else... this whole political voting email has brought us together as a board.
Like any family, nobody is going to agree on everything (least of all politics), but as I many times feel like the dad (or even grandpa) around here, it is nice to see such a controversial topic have made it this far and stayed somewhat rational
