most of it's being done by a guy I know with a full downdraft booth etc, so it's done right.
overspray is pretty minimal. everything is taped up and primed already, and it's a pretty large vehicle.

Thats cool... When I paint mine its going to be in my uncles shop, going to tarp me off a little booth with fans blowing out and just wet the floor, sorta ghetto I know... All the shops around here want 2,000 and up to paint it because I want to change the color, the body need fairly little prep work... I really want to pull the body off the frame and paint the frame too, and while Im at it go through and replace all the bushing and alot of the suspension... Oh, and want do the v8 swap while Im at it...

So yeah, basically the blazer is going to be down for a month or two early spring...

at least that long.
get the frame powdercoated instead of just sprayed.
it'll last longer.
also switch to urethane bushings instead of rubber, which will tighten things up some.

in my case, the car took all summer to prep the body because I skim coated teh car, and repaired some damage from dents and rust as well. If you want to shoot that Blazer properly, you'll want to disassemble it, too so you can hit the door jambs, etc you can't reach while it's all together.
