Mathematically it will put out that kind of power, but i highly suggest not doing it as it WILL either blow the amp or send it into protect, and i'd hate to see such a nice amp blown. Your best bet to getting a good score is to make a good box (a huge box is not necessairly good) make sure you tune it properly, and make sure its made out of 3/4" mdf. Also, bracing using wooden dowl, or threaded rod between the large surface areas will help.

1 more thing, i dont know much about dropping ohm loads below 1, but im pretty sure that most people drop below 1 ohm on a mono block, class D, high performance amplfier, so trying to drop a bridged 2 channel amplfier is in the opposite direction.

well have a box that is done up really nice... i know what im doing... i have a removable port for spl and everyday... yeah i dont want my amp messed up what im trying to get at is if anybody has played around with that amp before ill wait and see what bill has to say... yeah most ab class you wouldnt want to get below 2 ohm bridged unless it has a power supply that with handle it...

Anyways...

What is your current setup hitting @ 4 Ohms?

And is it worth possibly frying the amplifier? Simply put, it wasnt built to handle that much current.

You can try it if you like. For a 20 second burp Im wagering it will blow. A 3 second burp will probably send it straight to amplifier heaven.

Also the people running 1, .5 and .25 Ohms have amps capable of such feets. Theres a difference here and I just dont think your realizing it.

Just a note on how much power that amp will put out if it was wired down to 1ohm. The thinking that you have that if you half the load, you will double power isnt exactly correct. Most amps, as you go down in load lose efficiency so they will not produce double the power. When you go down to 1ohm with an amp rated at 4ohm, i am guessing efficiency will plumit. Another thing, is impedence rise. If you dont know how to keep impedence rise to a minimum, your impedence rise is probably pretty high and the amp will be running at around 4ohm.... and thus probably only putting out 1000 true watts. And most of the reason guys can burp their amps that low is because their know their equipment and what it can do and what it cant do.
