yup peal-n-seal, but it's asphault based and tends to stink. If you want a sound deadener that also acts as a thermal barrier, you could also look into LizardSkin.smoker wrote:name escapes me but that roofing material....someone help me out here.....looks like dynamat but isnt...seal n peal...thats it....get it at lowes

well, i still can't get one of the snapped bolts out of the block. it is sticking out about 5/8'' from the block and is rusted to hell. i've been spraying it with pb blaster and tapping it with a hammer every few days, and i still cant break it loose. anyone know any tricks to removing rusty bolts? if i can't get it out soon i'll prolly tow it to the school machine shop and try to weld on a nut to the stud sticking out

well after picking up a large pipe wrench from the campus machine shop i was able to get the broken bolt out, and i just got my head back from a local machinist who replaced the intake valve seat. Luckily a friends dad owns an autoparts distributer so i can get the $70 gasket set for about 20 + shipping. Any input on things to be careful of when assembling all this stuff would be GREATLY appreciated as i've never replaced a head before....btw what is with the forum, its dead as a doornail

Bill left for vacation.
Ive been trying to design my amp rack.
= dead forum.
Not to mention nobody has much going on.
Best advice- when tightening down the rocker arms, rotate the crank to take the pressure off the rocker arm in particular. Otherwise you will get a false torque.
