Uhh, not good
Lets not turn this into a political thread. my comment was simply implying the stupid mentality of some people down there....thus the hurricane is washing them out. thank you mother nature.ridr4lif wrote:Yea...the gov't was supposed to do a lot of things...like get the troops out of the middle east...but ppl are still dying over there...and we are trillions of dollars in debt. But if i remember correctly, didnt Clinton get us out of debt? Oh yes he did...thats right and Bush went and F@#%ed it all up.
Also, how long did he wait to go down to NOLA? Too long imho, but who am i to say whats right and whats wrong

Speaking of dump people on TV. I heard someone on TV the other day saying the Fedral Goverment took to long to activate Nation Guard troops to respond to the looting / aftermath. The fedral goverment doesn't have any control over the national guard troops, its the states job to activate them in situations like this.

This post isn't directed at anyone in particular:
People say all sorts of things during times of desperation. I'm sure they were just frustrated after days of no food or water, and losing much if not everything they had. Not to mention seeing an entire city destroyed, being seperated from loved-ones and viewing decaying bodies in the street.
The majority of people who couldn't leave New Orleans were of a lower socioeconomic status, so the odds are that they aren't the most knowledgeable people when it comes to governmental policies. Who cares though, we should cut them some slack and remember just how horrifically tragic this event was. Despite anyone's political leanings, let's save the political talk for a more appropriate time.

It doesn't matter to me if you guys talk politics. Keeps things alive.
On a side note, my van is more than likely vandalized. I've heard that almost every parking garage downtown had been hit with looters. It's okay, I just hope they leave my cd's. Insurance should cover 1k of it. I just hope my alarm prevents them from jacking my van and have me get a new car.

I dont want to say "man that sucks" because I'm sure you've heard that a million times and it really does nothing, but man, that sucks. Dont worry, if the brahma, or profis, or jbl or pioneer is gone we will start a fund! You know what would be cool is if a company gave out free equipment to previous customers who had things taken/destroyed in the hurricane. To the ones from authorized dealers and such, that are on file, you know, as a "donation". Little far fetched but in a perfect world....William from NOLA wrote:It doesn't matter to me if you guys talk politics. Keeps things alive.
