I want louder stereo, i found place with mickrophone and it was not loud. What should i get, and no asshole comment please I get tird of people mouth

So what did your stereo score? How loud was it?

The selection of car audio equipment out there is large. How big do you want to go?

you need to figure out exactly what you want to replace and a budget and how loud you want to go. What are you hitting now? 128dbs or so?

Most of the time, box design is the root of all evil here. I have customers calling in asking why their shit isn't loud and then they tell me it is in a sealed box. Ding Ding Ding..we have a winner. our subs are ported only boxed-designed

x2. Box design will make or break your system. There are some cars that really just dont' get all that loud. What vehicle is this in? However, the equipment you have right now would fall in the lower end spectrum. I would suggest an upgrade. Doesn't have to be anything crazy expensive to get loud. There are plenty of budget subs/amps out there that do great for the money. I've always loved the Kicker CVR subs ported for a budget sql application. Just remember, there is a difference between a thrown together ported enclosure and one you've taken time to design correctly.

I guess my next question would be; What is your budget on this upgrade?

do you already have decent 1/0 to the back? upgraded big 3? good ground? how is your alternator?

Should be able to put the car in the low/mid 140's for around $500.

I'm still a big fan of the hifonics amps and alpine type r's.

I would get 2 12" r's in a good custom ported box (around 2 cuft each tuned to 40ish hz) and a hifonics bxi 1200.1 or 1500.1. That should put you in low/mid 140's db range probably.

Good suggestion, but i woudlnt' be willing to guarantee you any numbers with that. If its a trunk car it's obviously gunna be hard to reach mid 140's with a setup like that. Are you looking at competing or just a daily groundpounder? If you just wanna compete i really wouldn't even use the R's. They've been used in SPL setups before, but aren't easy to get loud. Just my 2 cents.
