speaker fit

Hey all,
Can I fit a 6 1/2 round in the back of a 94 escort lx hatchback that has a 5x7 in there now? And front door speaker measures 6" but the sites I have checked say a 6 1/2 will fit in there, is this true?

yes you can fit it in there, you will have to do a little cutting, and you will need to make a baffle... which is just a ring that will cover the stock hole and you put the speaker in the hole in the baffle... however do not use some flimsy stuff like cardboard... also check on http://www.crutchfield.com to see if they have anything for your car. i hoped i help... there will be more replies surely with more good answers...
