i'm looking at some eq's,what is better...here are some i am looking at

these are all in my price range,the crossfire is a big maybe,i made a buy it now offer,and am waiting to here from the seller...the others i can order from etronics.com...i only have about $60 to cover everything...thanx

Parametrics are better, but an EQ is only good if you know how to use one. Most people just boost everything, or atleast boosts the highs and lows. This of course sounds like crap to anyone who knows what music should sound like. Personally, unless you are planning on competing in SQ, I wouldn't even spend my money on an EQ. I doubt any of those EQ's would be much of an improvement in tuning capabilities over a standard head unit's bass/mids/treble features.

they serve different purposes generally speaking.
a graphic in-dash EQ is used to shape sound on the fly if you want to mess with sliders to tweak the sound curve for different source material like different mastering of various MP3s and such..

if you want a set-and-forget EQ to shape the sound curve for competition to compensate for the shortcomings of your environment, use an octave EQ, 1/3 octave EQ, or a parametric.

a pre-amp in-dash unit with 3 or 4 EQ knobs is good for cleaning up a signal and giving very limited control similar to a graphic EQ.
also usually giving you balance, fader, and master volume controls to help eliminate distortion by turning up the head unit volume to just below distortion point then using the pre-amp volume as your main control.
(this is how I run my systems.)
