I need tweeters

I just bought a pair of Focal Utopia 6.5" mids. Now I need tweets. Any suggestions?

What do you want? Smooth sound, like a typical soft dome, or do you want more detail and shimmer to them?

I'd probably have to say smooth. I don't like them too harsh or overly crisp.

You wont find a small format better tweeter than these in their price range...
LPG 25nfa (silk)
LPG 26na (aluminum)
Both sold @ madisound for about $37 each + $3 for the mounting hardware. Great for xOver points of 3.6khz and above...

$37 ??? What kind of tweeter is that? Bare in mind I have Focal Utopia mids. I'm trying to find something comparible. I'll spend what I have to and since I'm refabing the door anyway, size really isn't an issue.

you can get infinity reference tweets from crutchfield for like 80 a pair. they are a silk dome and sound real nice.

Take time to look at the links I posted... let me know if you can't see them.
Don't be so concerned with the price, but rather their performance is what is important right?
In those links you will see how the LPG stacks up to tweeters that cost way more... such as the scan 6000 series, Seas Lotus Ref, & Morel Supremo to name a few...
BTW... if you have to opt for an expensive tweet... I just finished auditioning some Scan 2904/6000's in an IASCA judge car with 5" Utopia mids. Fantastic top end to say the least... he was using Focal TN-51'a prior to that (not a tweeter I like I must admit) and I think the Scans Definitely complement the Utopia 5" MUCH better...
The guy got in my truck & listened to my Dayton Reference RS150 mids & LPG25nfa tweeters... shook his head in amazement & is now thinking of trying out some Dayton Reference mids to see how they do in his car vs the Utopia...
Mind you he's got well over $200 invested in his Utopia's & I have less than $55 in my Dayton mids...
The moral of the story??? Car Audio manufacturer pricing doesn't equate to top notch performance...

The reveiws don't look too bad. I'll have to look more into them when I get back from my cariopulminary test and chest x-ray. Don't work aound asbestos if you can avoid it. Nasty stuff.

Sorry to hear that man... Asbestos is indeed very dangerous... a killer in many cases...
