speaker suggestions

ok my friend has about 250 to 275 to spend on a suboofer or 2 but he cant decide whether he wants spl or sq i think he would rarther have both can you guys give me some suggestions

well if he wants new his choices are going to be somewhat limited, especially if he wants 2.....

what amp is he gonna run to them? power will play a big decision in that dollar range

he is gunna borrow a yamaha 1000 watt amp

max....rms.....monoblock....two channel.....four channel....
sounds like he might want to look into some used stuff...... im gonna assume if the amp is two channel and bridgeable that it is only gonna be 4 ohm stable when bridged so maybe some older kicker 8 ohm comps or something

i didnt even know yamaha made car audio amplifiers sounds to me like a home amp

Alpine type R's, you can get them off ebay for cheap, and the kicker comp VR's too.
