High end equipment doesn't make for sound quality.
I wouldn't really want to list equipment...
It's a valuable component - but ONLY in the context that "your system sounds only as good as the weakest link in the chain"...
...and until you've got the rest of the install so well established that you are seeking out only the finest level of resolution to put that finely honed razors edge on an already solid foundation - the equipment choice is largely subjective.
There's lots of brand names with SQ-oriented branding campaigns.
We deal with Focal and DLS at a shop I work with... Night and day difference between the two, and neither of them inappropriate for a high-end SQ install.
...in fact, in any manufacturer line, there are dramatic differences in sound - maybe none more so than DLS, all their high-end sets sound very different from one another.
But my point is basically this...
...high end equipment does nothing but make the speaker cones move in and out in a way that accurately emulates the signal they are fed - which you would expect to be accurate with respect to the recording, of course.
That's so many levels short of
"stimulating the air into accurate sound waves" that it's almost dimented...
...and that's a great many levels short of
"sound waves that are accurately arriving at your ears"...
...and
that's a great many levels short still of
"sound waves are interpreted properly using psychoacoustics to your advantage by your brain from your ears"...
If you can manage the latter three things that I mention, you will have no worries about equipment.
If you can't manage the latter three things I mention, you will have no
use for high end equipment, since it's potential won't be realized anyway.
High end equipment doesn't make for sound quality, that's all.
(now let's start some discussions on what DOES!

certain products lend themselves to SQ more than others, or at least certain designs do.
While I'm not disagreeing with geo, I will note that you can look at things like, say, XBL^2 and notice better linearity at higher excursion and consider that and the excellent BL curve signs of a SQ oriented product, versus something disigned strictly for SPL events, where staying linear, or even within magnetic gap doesn't matter as long as it moves more air. Amplifiers are less important to SQ as long as they're clean, have ample power with good power supply implementation, and have all of the controls you're needing.
Signal processing can make or break a system but that comes down to a clean signal, transparency, and the install as Geo noted.
it really isn't a matter of picking the right brand but picking the right design and implementation in the products you choose, to fit the application (vehicle) you're building.
I can go into a lot of reasons for picking each item I used in my car, but the end result is pretty much the same. each item fit the layout I was after, with the least shortcomings, while still fitting my budget.
