what gauage speaker wire should I run to say a 12" XXX sub?

How much power would you be sending it? Generally 14 gauge is all you really need for most applications. With 1000 rms and up, at least 12 gauge.

well i plan on gettin the xxx 12" with dual 2 ohm vc
i have a jbl 1200.1 amp gonna run the xxx at 1 ohm

12 will do just fine. 10 would be really a little too large and unnecessary. 14 is okay as long as it is shorter (not like 6 feet long). 12 would be safest.

thanks alot wasnt sure and never really see anyone talkin about this around the forum firgured i'd bring it up and make sure on what i needed
