Hifonics ZX6400 or PPI Ax400?

They both will produce, if you go with the ZX you will get A LOT more features since it's newer. But the AX is sweet. I'd take the PPI personally, and own a piece of art. They may be older but can still hold it's own. If you're looking for more of a function amp go with the hifonics. But if you don't need all that, go PPI.

thats true. i have the a600 amp, love that thing to death. whats going on with that phx gold amp you posted about, Im not to familiar with them? how are thier 4 channel amps.

PG is decent not the greatest. I liked the specs on it, and the price, so I went ahead and picked it up. if you went PG stick with their higher end models.

thats alright im pretty sure im gonna stick with ppi. until i find out more about hifonics or i'll look at tru tech. i just want a kick ass 4 channel amp. so many amps out these days

The new Arc Audio amps are hella nice. You could look into them too.

yeah i have the A600 and man i love that amp. great sub amp.
i just picked up some new components that run at 85 watts rms and those damn things love power. what i was think about doing was dropping the Ax400to 2 omhs but everyone goes back and forth about ppi being able and not being able to run at 2 ohms. but, somewhere i read a guy bench tested and it ran 90x4 @ 4 ohms or that might have been the A404.2 not sure. thoughts? anyone ever run a ppi art at 2 ohms?

the a404 is the same just no crossover and yes i ran mine at 2 ohms stereo on the front channels
