Does anyone have a MAaudio amp?

Post by Rave'n »

I was thinking of getting this amp for my 2 12" R's and running it at 1 ohm I was just wondering how badly they might be over rated?

Running it at 1 Ohm would be fine for competition. But for daily driving it yields a 1% Total Harmonic Distortion rating. That to me is just unacceptable.

MA Audio. formerly Mobile Authority.
cheap, poorly designed and poorly made amplifiers with overrated specs.

Look into JBL BP1200.1 amps. You can get them pretty cheap on ebay.

perhaps a Hifonics would be of some use? I dunno how their new amps are but their older ones were pretty nice.

anything after 05 are great amps the previous are ok but they exaggerated the power claims. the bx 1605 has some issues so stay away from that one though.
