alright, i need help, im 16, have a Toyota Tacoma and i wanna make it thump for the coming school year, but im on a budget. i have my system pretty much planned out thanks the help of some friends
Pioneer DEH-P6800MP head unit
Hifonics Titan TXi 6006 amp
Pioneer TS-A1671R speakers

the only thing im not sure about is the sub
i can either get 1 Diamond Audio D312D2
OR i can get 2 Hifonics ZS12...plus, i'd actually pay a little bit less for the 2 hifonics subs than i would for the single diamond. however, i've heard that the hifonics subs are only good if u wanna go loud, but the sound isn't that great...any feedback is greatly appreciated

Since you're 16 and want to impress on the first day of school go with the two 12's and a ported box. You're to young to care for SQ :)

Yeah, I agree. Both subs would be great, but if you want to impress 2 is better than one in most cases. Especially if were talking ported.

and especially if we're talking about high school. they know nothing of sound quality and think that systems should be louder on the outside than they should on the inside.

thats not neccesarily true ive learned this first hand the hard way! i did a 148.9 with a single 15 mt. i though well hell ill do twice the power and twice the woofer 148.6 :sad017:

1 MT 15 on 1 MM4000.1 in 3.95cf box tuned to 45hz = 148.9

2 MT 15s each on its own MM4000.1 in dual chamber ported box tuned to 48hz (2.95cf each) 148.6

reasons y

1. not enough electricle power to run 2 4000w amps (at the time)
2. enclosure volume was to small on the dual box.
3. cancellation caused by multiple woofers and not enought tuning time.

but in this case its probobly his best bet!
