Dimming Lights

Post by brisgreat1 »

My system is running smooth and all is well, i am continuously upgrading... slowly piece by piece. but i started to notice some serious dimming in the headlights when the bass hits hard, was wondering if i should be looking into a deep cell battery or an alternator, or what do i do to solve this problem. i know i need more energy for all the power im putting out, i got a 00 honda civic, i dont relaly know where i would mount a second battery, but i could replace the stock with an optima deep cell prolly. i dont know anything about alternators, so any information on how much they would help would be cool. im trying to get the battery soon as i am upgrading my sub soon, thanks in advance

You don't need a second battery, I would pass on the opti and look into a everstart MAXX batt only 65 bucks. ANd upgrade your big 3. You're getting that 4ch amp for the 6x9's and the sony speakers right? Whats the specs on that ma audio amp? ANd for the price of the w3v3 you could do better.

Just make sure that if your planning to do future upgrades, you go with stuff that will keep you from having to do it again later dwon the road. HO alt, battery, 1/0 wire, and upgrade the big 3 and your good to go.

i dont see how doing the 'BIG3' now would make more work for you in the future seeing as how when and if you do ever get/need a ho alt u already have the wire upgraded and ready to go for the install

I didn't say it would make more work for him, I simply stated that whatever he decides to do, do it right the first time. :thumbsup I wasn't listing them in a specific order of completion or anything.

As in doing the Big 3 in 1/0g wire so you wont have to upgrade to larger wire when you get an HO alt.
