In need of advice

I am hoping to get some speaker advice....... I have a 96 plmouth voyager se work van I am putting a sytem in. I bought an Alpine CDA9831 a Alpine MRVF450 Amp, now its time for the speakers and I am just not sure what to get I had qriginally planned on Polk DB 5250 Components in the dash, Polk DB690 6x9's in the back and Audiobahn AMD60Q midbass in the doors. Is this a good combo?? I have heard pro's and cons about Polk. I heard them in the store and thought they sounded great. I have heard the crossovers failing alot. Can anybody offer some advice that knows these speakers or of a kick ass speaker I only want to do this one time. I had thought about JBL but they are just to expensive. I had also thought about infinity but I didnt really care for there sound. So I am asking the experts of this forum what should I do?? Thanks for any help.

Just so you know, usually the best sounding speakers in the store will be the worst sounding in your car.

i second ryan's opinion about CDT. get the CL-61a components, and the CL-6 midbass. and you be good.

I third that!! Just installed my new CDT CL-62's and I'm hearing musical notes from my CD's that I've never heard before. Very nice midbass and crystal clear highs that are very pleasing to the ears. Going to be getting a 2nd set soon for my wife's Xterra (and I'll be scraping the Polk dB's that are in there now).

Haven't heard the Kodas or the RE's....it's all subjective to your ear anyway....I personally think Polk (car only) and Infinity sound like crap....and I know that Crystal, CDT & Dynaudio sound great.
From what I hear you can't go wrong with either CDT's, Kodas, RE's or ID Chameleons

It all depends.
CDT is a brand. Kodas is a specific- and RE only has 1 component set...
The EURO series would be awesome, but the price tag is HUGE.
The Kodas are a tad expensive. The RE's are reasonably cheap.
The CDT comps for $150 probably can not be beat IMO...

Thanks guys You have sold me on the CDT I actually am thinking of stepping up to the HD series. Are they worth the jump in price? CDT thinks I shouldnt put components in the dash (leave it empty) put the comp. in the doors with there 6 1/2 in the back instead of 6x9's and putting the twtr in the A pillar. I feel like if I do this I am wasting my 5 channel Amp. Plus I Hate to give up the bass from the mid range in the doors. So I need a little more advice??
