OK well im s high school kid with not alot of extra money but i was looking for a good quality speaker for my car. I was going to buy alpine to match the head unit but i also seen alot of people like pioneer for the price. But im looking for something that will sound better then my factory infinity speakers. When i have them turned up they get real nasty sounding so thanks for all your help, Chris

So I take it you are looking for some components or coax's? Not necessarily a subwoofer...that is refreshing.

For not alot of money, you can't go wrong with Pioneer..but I guess what the question I am dying to hear is...what kind of music do you listen to and what is your price range? I can go on and on about the kind of speakers I own, or the kind I put in my son's car, or whatever, but without a price range, you won't get a straight answer.

Well i have a Dodge daytona. I have two kicker subs, Two Sony explod special edition amp, And a alpine headunit. I really can spend up to 350 for front and back. 5.25 and 5x7's. I listen to alot of rock rap and even a little country. Thanks Chris

You really don't need rear-fill, many people on here swear on not having it. And besides, you have a dakota, a good set of components up front will be plenty loud for that truck. So, a good set of 5.25 components and a good amp for them will probably be your best bet. Is one of those sony amps going to be for the components, or are both of them being used for you subs? My advise on the speakers is to go to as many audio shops as you can and just listen to every speaker they have. Find what sounds nice to your ears. What may sound good to someone's ears might sound horrible to the next person's ears.

It's a daytona, not a dakota..

I agree, unless you want to do kick panels or modify the door locations to step up to a 6.5... If you keep them in the door make sure you sound deaden it real good first, it'll sound sooooo much better... :happy055:

You should be pretty much set now...

Must of read too fast and thought it said dakota, oh well. Daytona's are small cars too, right?

You can always use Dynaudio or DLS if you only want to mess with the best.
