The solution to my car problem

Well I found out that it was my battery. Went to wal-mart, bought a new battery for $35. It started up and stayed running, but now I have ANOTHER problem :(

Things in my car no longer work. For example, my clock doesnt work, my power windows dont work, and my heat doesnt turn on. My mom took it for a ride and she said that the heat came on and off, only staying on for about 15 seconds at a time. When I push the buttons to make the windows go down, nothing happens. And my clock just doesnt turn on. Anyone know what could POSSIBLY be wrong NOW? Do I need a stronger battery or something?!? Need responses fast please because this is so annoying. Thanks.

1st did you even take the alt in to have it tested? It may still not be giving you enough juice. And second with all the jump starting you did to that thing... it's a stain on the electrical system so you better start checking all the fuses.

The alternator is brand new I know that for sure, and I think im going to bring it to a mechanic tommorow to make sure about it.

If things arent working, check the fuses for them.

find fuse box

pull fuse

see if broke. if not broke, put fuse back in

else

if broke, replace broke fuse with a the same size and type

thats the extremely simple version.

^this works... Although I would recommend at least a $1 test light to check the fuses properly, because you won't always be able to visibly see a broken fuse

Hmmm, I see another use for that elusive multimeter. :)
