how much are you spending on this sub? Each sub has its own personality to it. Also the box and amp will determine the performance and sound of the sub... I have a very old 10" Audiobahn AWT sub that is in a 1.7cuft ported box and that sucker bangs out hardcore... but if u can for the money... try to get a better sub. Audiobahn isnt the best company out there.. but so far on my end my sub has held up quite well, despite what most of the board thinks here

I am getting the sub for 125$ shipped.
the only reason I want to go with Audiobahn (even though many ppl say their products suck) is because I had a shop give me a demonstration with 2 AW1208 in a ported box running off the Audiobahn A2300HCT. loved how loud it was. I havent heard a system as loud and as clean sounding as that one.

before Bill chimes in... i would like to say that a lot of times when you hear somethign in a demo booth or a sound room... it will not sound the same in a car... Personally for $125 i think you can do better... As far as better... i think you can ask BWCAD1 or Smoker what they would reccomend... I do really have to say that Audiobahn is a troubled company and their product integrity is not that great. My sub has seemed to be the only exception. I would be careful and if i were you i would prolly get something else...

well the demo was in a 2001 dodge neon, it sounded great.
ok lets say i dont go with the audiobahns, but something else. what is going to closely match what the AW1008 or 1208's can do?
how much is it going to cost me?
and no one has said wether I'm better off getting a 10" or 12"
or maybe two of each. I am not sure what to do now.
its going into a jetta or GTI (i haven't decided which of my cars will get the system first)

size doesnt matter get which ever you like best. if you want to take up less room get the 10 if you dont mind get the 12. the difference in output and sound would be negligible especially if your getting audiobahn.
