throttle problem or something

Search IAC valve, I believe theres a "how too" with pictures showing where it is, what it does, and how to clean it...
Theres alot of things it could be, but theres a good chance it could be a bad/dirty IAC valve.
Thats the one thing I really hated about the the newer s10s, they always had the gay issues with the fuel and air metering system...
I could also be your mass air meter, you can unplug that and see if it makes a difference...

Definately sounds like a mass air flow sensor problem...
You see if it's messed up, then it will send a bunch of strange signals to the ecu which will in turn make the idle do a bunch of goofy chit... check and make sure it's clean as a first.

it Could be that, but i got a "new" one from an 00 Malibu, and it ran fine after that.. although it is possible it went bad.. ill put my old one back on and see what happens..

I went though all this a while back, I got the same problems, same answers, mass air flow, throotle position sensor, o2 sensor, iac, I prob spent $500 switching out sensors. It ended up being the seals around the injectors were leaking. Not that your problems isn't one of the above. But sometimes it ends up cheaper to just figure out what it actually is...good luck man, I hate car problems....

Do like I said in a previous post. If the IAC switch doesn't help, take a can of carb cleaner and spray all around your intake, TBI, and any other vacuum systems. With you mentioning the difference you felt by applying pressure to the brakes, it makes me think it is a vacuum leak. The brakes, although hydraulic, operate through the vehicles vacuum pull.

actually last night i took the iac out and cleaned it, and opened the throttle and cleaned it with carb cleaner... some people are saying just to take out that butterfly piece.. also.. this may be normal but i never payed any attention to it before, but it sounds like my truck is trying to suck in more air than before.. but it may be my fan or something, im not sure..

Did it sound lke that when the breather was off, or does it sound like that always since the idle prob? If it always sounds that way, then yeah, that noise is a vacuum leak, otherwise it should sound like that with the breather off. Use that carb cleaner to spray along your intake, tbi plate, and anything else vacuum related. If the engine bogs down, then you have found the problem.
