Double Din Solutions

I'm looking for double din HUs that either have active crossovers themselves or the ability to control an external active crossover unit, preferably hide away.
It's difficult to keep up with what's on the market or even worse, what's projected to be hitting the market within the next year or so, so any insight would be wounderful. Thanks.

Well I know you're looking for a double din radio solution, but in my honest opinion the best bang for the buck with the features you want is the Pioneer DEH-P880PRS... so what if you have to have a dash plate adapter with pocket... the pocket just gives you somewhere to throw your iPod :)

but dd's are sweet looking, id kinda lean toward jvc or panasonic if it were me

I checked panasonic's site and either it's not updated or they really don't offer much. Or I'm just not getting everything from where I'm at. JVC's site won't load at all. it's been trying for 20 minutes now.

JVC just redid their website and I think they're still working some of the bugs out... The new site is full of Flash animation and without high speed will probably take forever to load.

Both Pioneer and Alpine have add-on processors for DD units.

i have a kenwood excelon DDX 8017.. top of the line DD units from them from last yr.. full onboard XO's and 5V preouts.. check out the stats, i got mine on ebay for 500 shipped(that was lucky though. they go for around 600+ refurbed)
