intresting but PM has specs all over the place as well and the battery issue they are going after isnt even car audio related. it is racing related on a battery i dont even know is out yet.

so is it 600 CA? 650 CA? or 926 CA? 32 degrees F = 0 degrees C doesnt it?
Powermaster now only has MaxAmps and AH as specs on their websites..... HMMM wonder why? you go looking at those specs too they will be different from site to site.
I have owned a stinger SP1000 battery for almost 2 years and it is the only battery i owned that needed a charger to keep working. oddly enough the old wet cell didnt need a charger (just dimmed slightly) and the new wet cell i replaced the stinger with didnt need a charger either and going off specs they were smaller batteries. have had my kinetik for many years and it hasnt seen a charger yet and works great.
bring up the stinger test? they gave a max amps rating a CA rating and tested to it. also like to know since when is a CA rating even needed to run car audio? it is a test that runs down a 12v battery to 7.2v at 30 seconds with no care in the world at staying at or above 10v. it really isnt even needed any more to start a modern car. it is an old engine starting spec that companies use because they are rebadging a engine starting battery for car audio. LOL

I do but i also know that kinetik has won and still wins so it mustn't be total junk eh? The guys who use it must know what they are doing and still use them. Odyssey 2150 came out when 1999 and has been used in comps since then?Bwcad1 wrote:The only stinger battery i like is the re-badged enersys 2150. ive tested a pm kinetic and a enersys 2150 and the kinetic was the worst by far. there is far more on this subject i wont get into. if you like kinetic buy them. if you like whatever you like buy it.
I know a guy that runs a 4kwatt amp. He runs 2 stinger or odyssey 2150's (not sure which like it matters) even though they are good for "5000" watts each he has to run 2 or it makes the amp go up in smoke at least it did off 1. It's not built for all out comps and it posted scores that a kinetik user in a lower single battery class could beat. I also know a shop that dropped stinger batteries because they failed and switched to westco (the place I bought mine). If you are doing 148's in a class where your buddies are doing 153+ you need A LOT more than batteries to begin with (that isnt a slam against anyone either its just a fact). Not saying stinger or any these are bad or kinetik is best. Just stateing that kinetik works and works well for what they say it does and from what i have seen and know they dont fail much especially if they are used the way kinetik states for daily use. Every brand no matter how good it is will have people who like it or don't. :happy055:
