I'm currently preparing to install a new system into my ride. And I cant decide which subs I should put into it. So I thought I would see what everyone hear thought. Ok the subs I'm thinking about are RE XXX, Adire Brahmas, JBL GTI's, MA XL's, and DD 3512..My goal is to be in the 150's when metered. Which of those subs do you think will be closest to that goal. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

with the right box and power, im sure any of them subs could.... but personally id go with the XXX or Brahma... since i have never heard any RE stuff(soon when my RE 10" gets here i will though!).... i have heard and own an Adire Audio Tempest and its amazing.... so im sort of partial to the Brahma.... the Brahma will get loud and hold SQ at the same time.... but the XXX is said to get juuuust a little louder... not sure which DD that is.... too lazy to look it up, lol.... but any Digital Design stuff is good..

Well...William from Nola is hitting in the 140's with a Brahma and he's only feeding it 600 watts. The XXX has a little more x-max and has the 'potential' to get louder. The higher end DD stuff gets loud too. But i too, am too lazy to look it up...LOL

Then maybe the JL. Forget MA Audio

What you really need in order to hit a 150 is some serious testing and box building experience. You may have to mod your box several times before actually getting the desired number. If you don't have much experience building ported enclosures...it could take some time. With that said, Id go with the DD or an RE MT. Those are the real SPL subs.
