Introducing CAC Mafia Life

I've enjoyed these text based RPG's for awhile now, and really thought it would be kind of fun to develop one.

I also wanted to learn more about PHP and mySQL, so it gave me a reason to do this.

So here is what we have so far, CAC Mafia Life.
It's in the beginning stages, and still working out bugs here and there. Please join and help us test it.

If you find any bugs, please create a new post and list what you find. If you find an exploit, or way to cheat. Please email or PM me with what you found, how you did it etc.

Is that game completely original by you or is it adapted from that Mafia game on Myspace?

lol the mafia game on myspace is a derivative of other mafia games that we've been playing online for like years now.

There are actually tons of mafia style games out there, I've been playing them on/off for the past couple years.

The base engine for this one is an open source game, but most people use it as a fantasy, fight monster type of thing.

I've recoded pretty much most of the game now, and trying to make it more of my own. I have some cool ideas, and hopefully will get some time to start adding more :)

Damn you CarGodz! Yea, I've been playing those derivative games years myself. I was just wondering if it was using an existing codebase of one of them or not.

PHP and MySQL are cool things to learn. Relatively easy to catch onto, yet super functional.
